Creative Writing

Welcome to Creative Writing. This semester you will have the pleasure of creating a collection of masterpieces. We will write poetry, short stories, drama, fairy tales, fables, and a variety of other genres. The work you do for this class will help in the creation of the Kaleidoscope magazine.

Each day you will begin class with a 5-10 minute writing prompt before working on your main assignment. The first list of prompts can be found on this page as a word document. Our first assignment is listed as well (Jumble Story). Everything you write will be kept in your online portfolio on this page. For starters, you will need to sign up for and create your own wiki page. This is where you will keep your writing. Each assignment should be typed in word, and uploaded to you web page as a document…titled appropriately. As we progress through the marking period our site will be updated with new assignments. Have fun. Your first saved assignment should be your No ‘E’ Essay.
